WEEE (waste electronic and electrical equipment) has encouraged a lot of people to properly dispose or recycle their electrical and electronic devices. There are set rules and regulations that have to be followed strictly, should your products be included in the category. You risk breaking the law and face possible fines and other fees if you do not comply accordingly. There are also warranty repairs, but you have to know more about the policies and inclusions first. Here are tips.

The Standard Warranty Policy

The warranty for repairs might vary slightly between companies and agencies. Usually, the devices will first be categorized to determine if you belong to the stipulations and have to comply. The policy for a limited 3 year warranty against problems and defects in the workmanship and materials have the following limitations and exclusions. Sensors provided by other manufacturers, including the pressure sensors, are only given warranty according to the warranty schedule given by the first manufacturer. This usually lasts 12 months.

Consumable items are not usually covered by warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, o-rings, batteries, zinc anodes and electrolytes. Not included in the standard policy for warranty is reasonable wear and tear. The company shall not be liable for any type of damage or consequential loss of any type. The properly performed standard maintenance processes as mentioned in the manual will not render the warranty void. Failures due to improper handling and care or by poor quality maintenance and repair, as well as unskilled workers will not be covered by the warranty. Changes to the original design will render the warranty void, as it relates to the changed parts.

More About the Warranty

The standard warranty policy will render all warranty repairs valid as long as these are performed by the right agencies and professionals or other authorized representatives. The company should be the sole judge of the cause of any type of failure, as well as the validity of other warranty claim.

The Spirit of the Warranty

The warranty is provided on the basis that the agency or company will completely expect the instrument to function very well for many years. The company usually has created a solid and good reputation on quality, reliability and longevity. The aim of the warranty then is to provide peace of mind and satisfaction to workers and buyers. The rules as described will become the foundation wherein the warranty policy will operate on. Warranty issues can be resolved very quickly. Every case, however, will be considered individually, so arrangements and solutions might vary depending on what will be most appropriate. Customers are expected to get the warranty in the spirit in which it is provided.

More Details

Goods that warrant assessment should be properly packed and returned with the full nature and description of the problem. RMA or a returns number has to be acquired ahead to allow the people to properly schedule the due repair. All warranty claims will be assess individually, so you will be informed once the warranty claim is validated and appropriate solutions have been found for the existing problem. The replacement and repaired product will be returned to the customer using the preferred shipping method.

Invalid Claims

If a claim has been assessed and rendered invalid, the customer will be contacted as soon a possible and you will be given information on repairs that are needed and what the extent of the damage is and which areas can be covered by the warranty. Repairs done under the warranty will have zero effect on the period of warranty. This will continue as if no fault has been done.
