    Jonathan Anns Servicecare Commercial Director

As part of its ambitious growth plan, Servicecare has appointed Jonathan Anns to the position of Commercial Director.

Jonathan joins Servicecare following stints at major multi-nationals like GSK, Colgate-Palmolive, Brightpoint (Ingram Micro) and Carrier. He has over 15 years’ senior management experience in sales operations, which Jonathan says he’s looking forward to bringing to the role:

“I have always had a passion for sales and sales operations. The commercial director role seemed a nice fit in terms of what I enjoy doing and it’s an area where I can bring my experience and expertise to help accelerate business growth.

“I was attracted to Servicecare as it is a professional and established business which is positioning itself for a period of sustainable growth through organic and acquisition strategies.”

Jonathan’s broad base of expertise includes business development, P&L management, strategic planning, change management, demand planning, and budget forecasting. And in order to help Servicecare deliver on its targets, Jonathan will be calling on all of his expertise:

“I was recruited to continue Servicare’s transition from SME to a plc, focusing on developing the commercial aspect of the business. I am committed to helping Servicecare deliver our 5 year plan and drive continuous improvement strategies through our commercial processes to optimise yield returns on our customers’ assets.”

Having managed multi-cultural teams in Europe, Middle East and Australasia, Jonathan says he’s relishing the relationship-building period ahead:

“I’m looking forward to building new relationships within the consumer electronics eco-system and working with the team to position Servicecare as the partner of choice for the repair, refurbishment and remarketing of consumer electronics.”

Servicecare Delivers Results for Peak Season Electronics

As a market leader in the field of electronics reverse logistics, Servicecare has broad expertise in providing a seamless returns solutions. The business has once again performed exceptionally over the peak trading period, coping with the 13.2% year-on-year increase in volume for December 2015, compared with the corresponding period in 2014.

Peak 2015 was brought forward by the Black Friday weekend, which saw online spend reach £1.1 billion[1], and Servicecare rose to meet the demand and the surge in returns it generated.

Servicecare delivers a consolidated returns solution for electronics retailers and manufacturers, focusing on getting items back into the market and maximising resale value. The service offer consists of a central processing location, fast repair and refurbishment of goods, safe storage and the efficient return of goods to saleable conditions. Working closely with clients’ carriers and returns centres results in the speedy turnaround times and fast stock processing.

Servicecare enables retailers and manufacturers to retain maximum value from their returned electronic stock, addressing the widespread problem of losses caused by poor returns management of online sales. Servicecare is leading the way with its innovative solution for electronics, proven to deliver rapid results under increasing demand.

Electrotec, a subsidiary of Servicecare complements the system of refurbishing and repairing stock for direct resale, saw a sales increase of 36% over the Black Friday weekend. The growth comes as a result of a marketing push driven with big deals, pre-Black Friday teasers and additional customer stock availability across the board. Having a specialised department to enable direct return to stock, alongside deals on refurbished electronics, adds to the comprehensive offering from Servicecare.

With peak trading season over for another year, the business is set to continue to deliver impressive results in a sector subject to ever-increasing demand. With an innovative combination of services that allows for ultimate maximisation of value and speed, the future of electronic returns is being redefined.
